 Toll样受体5(TLR5)能识别来自革兰氏阳性菌和革兰氏阴性菌的鞭毛蛋白。受体激活后,会将信号传递到接头蛋白MyD88,TIRAP和TRIF,从而诱导促炎性细胞因子的产生,如TNF-a。鞭毛蛋白是亚基蛋白,可以通过聚合形成细菌鞭毛的细丝。它不仅通过TLR5激活先天免疫系统,还通过细胞内NAIP5/NLRC4(IPAF)炎症小体蛋白激活先天免疫系统。

Binds to human and mouse TLR5 (Toll-like receptor 5).

Biological Activity

Activation of TLR5 in human epithelial cell assays based on NF-κB luciferase fusions, on expression of IL-8 (CXCL8), CCL20, inducible nitric oxide synthase, β-defensin 2 and matrilysin (MMP-7). Maturation of dendritic cells in in vitro and in vivo assays. Adjuvant activity on foreign antigens delivered by subcutaneous and intranasal routes in mice. TLR5 can be stimulated in vitro by Flagellin (high Purity) at a concentration of 5-50ng /ml and in vivo at a starting concentration of 0.1-1µg /mouse.
